About Us

By employing local professionals who have established medical and
allied health networks,
SalusWA is able to offer a truly regional service.

All staff meet the criteria as outlined by the HWCA outlined in the Nationally consistent approval framework for workplace rehabilitation providers.

SalusWA is a fully accredited workplace rehabilitation provider with WorkcoverWA (#115).  To become accredited, providers must adhere to the WorkcoverWA Service Provision and Service Standards for Approved Workplace Providers. SalusWA undertake regular self-audits to ensure we meet these service standards as required. SalusWA is also an active member of the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association (ARPA).

In addition to our accreditation with WorkcoverWA, SalusWA is a signatory of the Health Benefits of Good Work Charter and these principles guide our intervention and ethos in all that we do.

Emma Jarvie

Managing Director

Emma has more than 23 years industry experience. Having started in vocational rehabilitation in 1997 located in Geraldton, Western Australia, she has been lucky enough to have worked in most jurisdictions across Australia in private providers role as well as in an employer based role. In 2004 Emma was offered the opportunity to move to the UK to establish an injury management company in a Joint Venture proposition. This role oversaw the growth from a start-up to a national company providing services to national banking and insurance companies. In the UK, Emma presented at National Claims Conferences and written articles detailing proactive injury management interventions for claims risk magazines in the UK insurance market. After returning to Australia in 2012, Emma worked briefly for a local provider and then proceeded to develop SalusWA in partnership with Kirsten Somers.  In February 2019, Emma took on sole ownership of SalusWA whilst Kirsten decided to pursue a treechange.

Emma grew up in Perenjori in the Northern Wheatbelt and has always had a passion for providing employment opportunities and services to country regions.  Understanding that people who live locally are more able to respond quickly and develop important relationships with the stakeholders, she endeavours to seek professionals who are embedded in their community.

With experience in injury management services, corporate health services, employer-based services, claims auditing, income protection, absence management and the setting up and management of new loss prevention services for both legal and insurance entities, Emma provides both injury management services and ongoing supervision to staff to ensure that the best outcomes are achieved in each and every case.

Emma is a full member of ASORC and is an accredited rehabilitation counsellor.
