As part of a holistic service, SalusWA is developing rural allied health services via SalusCARE. Initially, we will provide psychological and exercise prescription services and will seek to add specialist occupational therapy services in the future. As Kojonup is our home territory, we are commencing these services here before identifying additional regional centres to add to our network.
Michelle Daw is very much looking forward to commencing the counselling service as she fully appreciates that getting access to local services is often difficult due to appointments going fast or having to travel to other districts to see someone.
Frances Haslam is an exercise physiologist who conducts worksite assessments, functional assessments and develops exercise programmes. She also undertakes Medicare referrals for Exercise Prescription Services under the Chronic Diseases Programme.
